What is a mangonada?
A mangonada is a frozen mango drink from Mexico that plays sweet against salty, sour and a little heat. Icy mango goes into a cup coated with chamoy, more chamoy is swirled through, and the top gets a shake of chili-lime seasoning. A candy straw coated in tamarind finishes it.
What's in Dumont's mangonada?
Our sweet mango slush in a cup coated with tangy chamoy, with more chamoy swirled through, a sprinkle of Tajín on top and a tamarind straw.
It sits on our slush menu with Mangonada, Strawberry Burst and Sunny Mango. All of them are on our boba page.
Is a mangonada spicy?
Mildly. Chamoy and Tajín bring a gentle chili warmth with lime and salt, which is what makes the mango taste brighter. If you'd like it sweet only, our Sunny Mango slush is mango with rainbow jelly and strawberry popping pearls, and no chili.
