What is an affogato?
An Italian dessert, and the name means "drowned": a scoop of ice cream with a shot of hot espresso poured over the top. The hot coffee melts into the cold ice cream, and you eat it with a spoon, half dessert and half coffee.
Which flavour makes the best affogato?
Vanilla Bean is the classic. Our customers' favourites are Biscoff, where the caramelised cookie meets the espresso, and Kheer, with its cardamom and saffron. For coffee on coffee, try Filter Coffee; for something richer, Dumont Chocolate or Salted Caramel.
Every flavour in the case today: Birthday Cake, Biscoff, Butterscotch, Dumont Chocolate, Festive Cake, Filter Coffee, Hokey Pokey, Kheer, La Ferraro, Lucky Charms, Mango, Mint Basil Sorbet, Mint Chocolate Chip, Oreo Caramel Fudge, Raspberry Mascarpone, Salted Caramel, Strawberry Chunks, Vanilla Bean, Choco Chip Cookie, Hazelnut Brownie and Cookies & Snow.
What's the difference between an affogato and an iced coffee with ice cream?
An affogato is a scoop with a shot over it, eaten with a spoon. If you'd rather drink it, the OG Cold Coffee blends two shots of Karafa espresso with a scoop of Vanilla Bean ice cream and cold milk, and the Iced Kheer blends two scoops of Kheer ice cream with espresso and milk.
